Description

"This ocean explorer unit and her companion are the two perfect robots to scout the ocean floor: they high density and their dark yet beautiful makes enable them to go down to two thousand feet below the ocean surface, a depth that is not easily reached by other means. They were primarily designed to keep a close eye on the fauna and flora of delicate parts of the ocean in a respectful and non-invasive way, but they may also find their use in exploration and in scavenging from sunken ships.

The latest researchers in artificial intelligence gifted them with a human-like mind, giving them the ability to reason and grow attached. The larger unit, from the moment it is activated, will be protective of the smaller one, as a bigger sister would be over her sibling. Both can develop friendly relationships with humans and intelligent animals such as dolphins and will be the first ones to guard the area they were assigned to from illegal fishing and littering.

In homage to the mythical mermaid they were inspired from, they are also able to sing. Of course, they do no enrapture sailors to their doom, but such abilities will most likely entertain tourist coming to admire the wildlife left in their care… as long as they do not cause any harm to it."
